Dearest Readers,

Welcome to "Katie's Corner". Whilst on this blog you will find an assortment of articles and posts. My affection for faith, history, and classic entertainment has emboldened me to create this blog to share my passions with others. Due to the limited number of words one can say on social media, it is hard for an individual to share their interests, opinions and views without conjecture or misinterpretation. Being one to share my thoughts openly, I would like to grow upon works I have created in the past and continue to write. 

Going into this year of 2021, I pray we all find a simplicity of happiness wherever it may be. I look to the era gone by in which ladies were ladies, fashion was unique and life evolved around glorifying their creator. Although many may not share such affinity, I hope the aspects brought to this blog can have a positive impact on others.

In honor of the last day in February, here is a short story of the love story between King Louis and Queen Marie Antoinette of France. Although this pair started off as two foreigners to each other, their bond would hold them together in the most grievous hour. Chakotay and Seven of Nine: An Unbreakable Link

In commemoration with  Valentine's Day, I decided to write an article on my favorite "Star Trek" pairing: Chakotay and Seven of Nine. Through social media, I have seen this fictional couple bear the brunt of despise, hatred and retaliation. On the other hand, I have always seen a unique  relationship of two individuals in the future. From the moment they appeared on screen together I thought they had instant chemistry. The two characters showed that love is unconditional and just because a first meeting is not pleasant, love can bloom in the most unbeknownst manner. I hope this following article can shed light on their relationship and why they matter.  With patience and time, a spiritual person like Chakotay and a logical scientist like Seven formed a tender bond and left an impact as a tasteful and wholesome romance. The Case for Space

On  April 19, 2021, the NASA robotic helicopter "Ingenuity" completed a successful flight on the surface of Mars. This historical event catapulted human spaceflight and engineering as an Earth produced vehicle took flight on its own while located on a different planet. Never before had mankind achieved such a feat beyond Earth.  " Ingenuity " hovers above the surface of Mars in this historic image.
